GUIDELINES FOR ADMISSION TO B.Ed. COURSES
The candidates should have undergone 10+2+3(15) or 11+1+3 (15) pattern of study and passed the qualifying examination conducted by the respective State Board or CBSE or any other recognized Board of Education/Examination and U.G. Degree examination of the UGC recognized Universities in any one of the school subjects offered by the Directorate of School Education at the Secondary/Higher Secondary Education level.
OC candidates should have 50% ; BC - 45% ; MBC/DNC - 43% ; and SC - 40% in their UG / PG degree.
Reservation of seats for candidates belonging to BC, MBC/DNC, SC and ST communities will be made as per the rules and regulations of the Government. Admission shall be made strictly by following the rule of reservation as per law in force including the Management quota seats of Non-Minority Aided Colleges.
For the wards of Ex-Servicemen of Tamil Nadu origin, one seat will be reserved. 3% of the sanctioned strength will be reserved for Physically and Visually Challenged students in each College of Education. 5 seats are exclusively allotted for Visually Challenged candidates in two IASEs and five Government Colleges of Education.
The course offered are Tamil, English, Maths, Physical Science (Physics, Chemistry), Biological Science (Botany, Zoology), History, Commerce (PG must) and Computer Science.
GUIDELINES FOR ADMISSION TO M.Ed. COURSE:
A candidate shall be eligible for admission to the course leading to the Degree of Master of Education provided he/she has passed a Bachelor–s Degree Examination in Education of this University or some other University recognized by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto, with a minimum of 50% marks in theory and practicals separately.
The basis of selection of candidate for admission shall be based on the existing regulations of the university/Government of Tamil Nadu. Reservation of seats and other concessions for the SC., ST., MBC / DNC, BC, and other special categories of candidates notified by the Government of Tamil Nadu shall be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions of the Government of Tamil Nadu in force from time to time.
The concluding decision of admission of a candidate will be made by the management.
