Mathematics is a way of rational, a way of shaping a logical proof. It gives an intuition in to the supremacy of humanoid mind so this forms a very valuable discipline of teaching- learning platforms everywhere in the world. The Mathematics Education Program delivers a strong emphasis on math content and the role of mathematical techniques of rational in the teaching and learning of mathematics. Mathematics department reinforce the knacks of student teachers to teach math in a variety of instructional settings. The department has a Ramanujan Math Lab through which several actions were conducted to develop the skills and ability of the student teachers to their uppermost potential. The Mathematics classroom is integrated with technology and variety of instructive involvements are given through group discussion, buzz session, classroom seminars, peer tutoring and recreational Mathematics. The department has a well-appointed laboratory termed as ’Ramanujan Math Lab‘. Hands on training and real-world experiences are given to the students to comprehend the Mathematical concept. We have organized a workshop on the grounding of Instructional resources to develop qualities of independence, persistence, uniqueness and curiosity. The department also has an active club through which field trips, seminars, guest lectures, club magazine and festivity of important days related to Mathematics are conducted.

Our math department secured the first place in the academia examination at the college level and attained cent percent result. Some of our student teachers placed in schools and others are pursuing higher education. Mathematics Department strives to attain its excellence in an academic and skill based capabilities of the student teachers.

  • Celebrated National Mathematics Year on October 2012.
  • Nationwide Math day was celebrated on December 22, 2019.
  • Our department students took part and attained prizes in numerous cultural competitions held at Holy Trinity College of Education, Melpalai, St.Joseph College of Education, Appicode and Mar Chrysostom College of Education, Kirathoor.
